Taichung, as the largest municipality directly under the central government of the administrative region, is located in the central transport hub of Taichung, in recent years, the region and science and technology continue to develop, but the adjacent essence of 15 minutes is a "Rural primary schools ", it is adjacent to the Wuri District, "Chun An Elementary School ", Chun An state early for students for the military and indigenous children as a composition, in recent years, the structure changes, gradually to the children of immigrant residents, although the city of Taichung is a veritable primary school. Ling Tung University is adjacent to Chun An Elementary School, and this program originated in this context through the (University Social Responsibility, USR) project of the Ministry of Education. The college of information science of Ling Tung University, has always been the main cultivation policy of information education, and the early implementation of the information volunteers of the National Youth Commission often go to the mountains such as Baileng and Guguan in Taichung to carry out information education services, but no applications have been made for related activities in the past 8 years.
Young people in the face of growth process, because of the social structure and information equipment developed, satisfied with the hands of a few inches of small screen, disregard for the interaction around the relationship has become the norm today, especially to information people, the goal of this plan to cultivate information volunteers with STEM science education foundation, the implementation of college information science cultivation goals, and the practice field of USR to Chun An Elementary School as a practice field. The scheme was also successfully implemented at Chun An Primary School with the assistance of Principal Huang.
This year due to the impact of the COVID-19, with school staff control and other issues, at the beginning of the implementation is not smooth, the plan originally planned for the recruitment of high school volunteers also because of the outbreak relationship can not smoothly come to the school for volunteer course training, and therefore affect the entry time of the field, so the first half of the year can only on the curriculum training and university's volunteer recruitment training efforts, and with the Chun An cooperation to discuss the direction of cooperation in the second half of the year.
In volunteer training such as planning is divided into teachers and students, teachers have Chun An Primary School teachers and Ling Tung University teachers, volunteers are currently based on college of information science students, the curriculum to practical and inspired teaching as the goal, the use of teaching aids for out-of-school cooperative units to provide science and education materials, supplemented by the development of PBL teaching cases developed by Ling Tung University to try to import Chun An school activities, and after the establishment of scale. Information volunteer courses will be offered in the second half of the year and are currently optional, and it is expected that service learning courses will be offered in cooperation with the Ling Tung Service Learning Center in the future.
Practical field activities due to the outbreak of the relationship to amend part of the practice, the middle thanks to the strong support of President Huang, through the information curriculum teachers of the common meeting, suggested that the semester curriculum way will be better than after-school tutoring, so that students can get more help, therefore, the use of the practical field of formal course time, every Thursday "flexible information" curriculum to implement assistance, learning for fifth grade children with a total of two classes, by Ling Tung teachers and volunteers to work together. And arranged a curriculum workshop to give Chun An teachers training, but also to further let volunteers understand and share the teaching and companionship methods of primary school children, so that each student and even university teachers have different experiences and recognition, and another with the original proposal is more substantial gains is the use of teaching materials combined with teaching aids, in the cooperation unit's recommendations, the implementation of the child's creative ability certification, through the design of teaching materials and teaching aids, in the end of each operating unit, processing capacity certification, at the end of this school, The child will have the ability to include structure, basic power control, basic logic concepts, and integrated assembly to chart the child's efforts, which is also the result of ongoing discussion and revision in the implementation of the plan that is better than originally expected.
